PRESS RELEASE - March 2010
Tres-Noir is focused on providing one thing- Quality Sunglasses. Refusing to give the customer a cheap, mass-produced sunglass that is injected through a mold, Tres-Noir Handmade Optics is produced from acetate sheets in limited quantities.
As the collection enters its 8th release, cosmetic changes have upgraded the eyewear while the classic styling remains the same. New logo treatments have been featured throughout the line with the “2 Diamond” logo replacing the anchor logo plaque on the men’s collection and the inside “Handmade” plaque being introduced throughout the entire collection.
Featured on the men’s collection, the “2 Diamond logo” is a silver epoxy logo located on both temples. Subtle and strong, the new logo gives the frames a clean, higher –end appearance.
Located on the inside temple of all the frames, the Tres Noir Handmade foil plaque fends off imitators and validates the handmade quality of each frame.
In addition to the logo changes, the spring 2010 collection introduces 5 new styles and a variety of new color ways into the Tres Noir family. The highlight of the release is the “45’s”, a unisex, vintage inspired frame and comes in the new signature color Black+Gray Horn.
The spring 2010 release also includes the launch of our newest premiere laminate color way- the “Galaxy Collection”. Teaming black with gray and blue sparkle acetate, the “Galaxy collection” is available in our two best selling female glasses the Ultra Lux and Bombshell.
Plastics are made of handmade acetate, with multi-layered laminates available on each style. Every frame features CR39 lenses which offer 100% UVA & UVB protection and maximum optical clarity. The metal selections are made of 100% pure monel with spring hinges and the signature two-tone acetate temple tips.
Totaling, 53 SKU’s and 17 styles, the Tres Noir spring 2010 collection continues to build on it’s established classic styles while exploring new avenues with metals and oversized plastics.
Tres Noir Handmade Optics can be found at finer boutiques and sunglass specialty stores throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong.
